It literally just says "hide pages you don't want bots and scrapers to find"... it doesn't say anything about actually securing anything.

And even on security, the premise that they're mutually exclusive is stupid. "Security + obscurity" is still safer than "Security" alone.

Why do so many techies feel the need to respond to everything with "no you're wrong. <insert irrelevant fact on a different subject here>." ?
