While he’s not directing the current Halloween trilogy, John Carpenter certainly seems thrilled with the work done by David Gordon Green and writer Danny McBride. The 2018 sequel was clearly influenced by the original, leaning heavily on building tension. And Halloween Kills will feature a number of returning actors from the original, reprising their roles and fighting Michael Myers themselves. This includes Nancy Stephens, Kyle Richards, and Charles Cyphers.
