President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social media account to jab Sen. Chris Van Hollen over his visit with alleged gangbanger Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Trump described Van Hollen (D-MD) as a "fool" looking for attention and finding it in the worst possible way - fighting tooth and nail for a gang-affiliated illegal alien.

"Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland looked like a fool yesterday, standing in El Salvador begging for attention from the Fake News Media, or anyone," the President wrote early Friday morning. "GRANDSTANDER!!"

Democrat lawmakers have remained intent on defending Abrego Garcia even as they ignore his reported gang ties, his suspicion of human trafficking, and the protective orders filed by his wife.

Van Hollen went so far as to visit him in prison in El Salvador. Images were shared on X in which he is fawning over the man two judges have determined is likely to be a member of MS-13.
