Naxal with Rs 1 crore bounty killed in Jharkhand; 8 ultras dead in op

The Central forces on Monday made a huge breakthrough in their all-out offensive against Naxals, killing eight, including a Maoist leader with a Rs 1 crore bounty on his head, in Jharkhand's Bokaro, officials said.
The joint operation was carried out by the jungle warfare unit of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) - Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) commandos - and Jharkhand police on Monday morning.

The exchange of fire began around 5:30 am at Lugu hills, officials added, reported news agency PTI. An AK series rifle, a few infantry arms, a self-loading rifle (SLR), a pistol and eight country-made guns were recovered during the operation.
