“Late Night” host Seth Meyers pointed to one thing as proof the Trump White House really can’t stand Elon Musk.
Referencing a new report, Meyers said Musk had asked the Trump administration for an extension on his role as a special government employee, which is limited to 130 days.
But the White House “told him it wasn’t possible,” Meyers said.
“That’s how you know they hate him,” he quipped. “They actually followed a rule.”
Meyers then mimicked President Donald Trump in mock protest: “Our hands are tied, Elon. A rule’s a rule. A rule’s a rule.”
The gag came as Musk, the world’s richest person, continues to publicly slam Trump’s “big, beautiful” spending bill, and Trump remains silent on the criticism from his once-loyal ally and donor.
