Please submit all strictly U.S. history posts to r/USHistory
For the second time within a year I am stressing that while this subreddit is called "American history" IT DOES NOT DEAL SOLELY WITH THE UNITED STATES as there is the already larger r/USHistory that deals with, you guessed it, US history. Beginning in the new year I will be removing any post here that solely deals with the United States. That means the election of 1876 belongs in r/USHistory whereas the entire Western hemisphere is welcomed here including pre-Columbian America and the US empire's dealings in the continent and Pacific (or in this specific instance the love of Rutherford B. Hayes in Paraguay). Don't like it? Please, please unsub rather than downvote meaningful contributions. Thank you.
And, if you've read this far, please flair your posts!
