What was the root cause explaining the rapid growth of the KKK in the 1920s in areas outside of the American South?
The Klan expanded greatly in the 1920s. It was a resurgence in the American South but also expanded to many parts of the country but why was that? What inspired or caused the organization to gain new followers/supporters outside of the American South?
