In my free time, I've been thinking a lot about how generational wealth has affected Americans as a whole and was wondering how far back it actually went. I came to the conclusion that during American slavery and post slavery (when they received reparations for the slaves they gave up.) Would be a good place to start. Essentially what I am looking for is family names and notable people amongst them who are still benefitting from those reparations till this day. If anyone could name off families, give me a better place to start, or point me to an article that would suit kinda what I am looking for I would gratefulul.
