I took a 'Weather 101' college course years back, and the prof was one of the best ever. Beside learning all the shapes of clouds, etc., etc., he gave us 'rules', 2 of which really stick with me--'Extreme weather tends to end extremely'. AND, 'Climates in a state of change are climates with extremes.' That class was a long time back, but more and more true....
