What do you think about realtime supply & demand energy pricing, resulting in some people getting several thousand $ electrical bills in TX?

Thank you. So how much less do the people who aren't locked in pay regularly? I suppose it is the literature somewhere, but if people understood that using electricity that is available to me could cost over five figures a week or lock in and pay an additional $20 a month, that is just a different equation. I played that game when I was hurting, never in my wildest dreams did I think my $200 a month bill could be $10,000. Should people just know that if they use the heat during a problem, it could cost them 5 figures? Again, these people weren't aware until they received their bills.
So let me ask your opinion. Was it, should it have been told to people that we have uninsulated grids so that if a one every 5 or 10 year freeze, snow comes through it will make our prices much higher than in other states? So every time you move should you have to spend a few days analyzing the paperwork?
Lastly, you aren't getting heat off of a portable generator. Those emergency full house generators are roughly $5k installed. Lots of people can't afford that.
What about apartment owners, there is electricity, people use it, do they now owe $100,000 for a week's worth of power?
