Looking for a 4-6 day southern US loop or easy train back to start route recommendation
I want to take my kids on a trip during their upcoming March/April spring break and am looking for a safe and fun 2-300 route. They can manage the distance (my 14yo daughter rode the 325 trail Erie to Ohio trail last summer) so we're essentially just looking for somewhere warm and somewhat interesting. We live in Indy and would like to find something within maybe 1000 miles. I'd prefer a loop so we don't have to deal with the logistics of getting back to the car. Perhaps even something that ends near an Amtrak terminal that can take us back to our start location.
The Katy Trail is not an option as we're doing that later in the year and the C&O/GAP route is also probably out as it will likely still be cold at that time. Any good Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Florida, North/South Carolina, etc. routes you'd recommend?
Thanks!
