A violent clash between two groups in northeast Delhi's Jyoti Nagar area has left five people injured in a firing incident, according to police reports.

Five people have been injured in a firing incident between two groups in northeast Delhi’s Jyoti Nagar area, police said on Tuesday.
According to the police, a man filed a police report at Jyoti Nagar station around 9 pm on Monday, stating that his son had been shot by unidentified attackers.

Upon arrival, police found that multiple rounds had been fired during the clash, the official said, adding that the injured people were rushed to GTB Hospital for treatment.
Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered evidence of multiple gunshot rounds fired during the altercation, the official said, adding that the injured individuals were promptly transported to GTB Hospital for medical attention.
A crime team and forensic experts were called to examine the scene, where several empty cartridges and a live cartridge were recovered, he added.
A case has been registered at the Jyoti Nagar police station and the police have launched an investigation. According to the police, teams have been formed to analyse technical and manual inputs to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in the shooting.
The motive behind the gunfight is yet not ascertained and the police are probing possible gang rivalries or personal enmity.
As part of the ongoing investigation, local residents are being interviewed, and nearby CCTV footage is being scrutinized for potential clues.
To maintain public safety, security measures have been bolstered in the area to prevent any further incidents. Authorities are appealing to residents for their cooperation and assistance in tracking down the perpetrators.
