How to Create Task?
In this blog, we are going to know how to create any new task. Webkul has a specific Task Management System that will be used by the developers for managing their work timer and the tasks include all the relevant details.
Process to Create Task
First of all, you need to Log in to your ERP system using a regular link: https://erp.webkul.com/.
After that, you need to navigate to the Project > Tasks. Then click on the Create button present on the top as shown in the image below:
Further, the create task page will be visible as shown in the image below:
Now task creation has different requirements depending on the operation of the task. These operations can be a Customization, Configuration, and Raw Source Code. Let’s check the process for each and every operation.
Create Customization Task
For the customization, we have a specific Task Title convention i.e., Customization | Platform | App Name – Product Name | #Order ID #Ticket ID #Version. For example, Customization | Android | XYZ App – Magento 2 Mobile App Builder | #123456789 #1.0.
Further, select the associated project for the project field. Moreover, Add the relevant deadline as per the requirement and select the Assignee for Assigned to field.
Also, you must select the CUSTOMIZATION (PAID) option under the Tags field. All these are visible in the image below:

Moreover, the details of the customization must be added in the description box. The details may include :
- Project Link
- Customization Point
- FTP Details
- Admin Details
- Previous Configuration Ticket Links ( In case any configuration is done before.)
- Previous Configuration Task Links ( In case any configuration is done before.)
- Current Customization Task LInks ( This will include the cross task links.)
- Concerned BDE Name
Finally, click on the Save button, and the task will be created successfully. Also, task followers will be the same as previously added to the selected project.
Tip: A tip to add followers to the project itself while creating it so that you don’t need to repeat the process of adding followers after creating the task.
Create Configuration Task
For the configuration, we have a specific Task Title convention i.e., Platform – App Name | Product Name | Configuration | #Order ID #Ticket ID #Version. For example, Android – XYZ App | Magento 2 Mobile App Builder | Configuration | #123456789 #1.0.
Further, select the associated project according to the project. Moreover, Add the relevant deadline as per the requirement and select the Assignee for Assigned to field. All this is visible in the image below:
Moreover, the details of the configuration must be added in the description box. The details may include :
- Configuration Ticket Links
- FTP Details
- Admin Details
- Order Details
- Configuration Task Links
- Concerned BDE Name
You can also add the previous configuration task or ticket links if any of them is performed on the same server.
Finally, click on the Save button, and the task will be created successfully. Also, task followers will be the same as in the selected project.
Create task for sharing Raw Source Code
For sharing the raw source code only, we have a specific Task Title convention i.e., Platform – Product Name | Raw Source Code | #Order ID #Ticket ID #Version. For example, Android – XYZ App | Magento 2 Mobile App Builder | Raw Source Code | #123456789 #1.0.
Further, select the associated project according to the project. Moreover, Add the relevant deadline as per the requirement and select the Assignee for Assigned to field. All this is visible in the image below:
Moreover, the details of the configuration must be added in the description box. The details may include :
- Raw Source Code Ticket Links
- Client Gmail ID (Other than Gmail will also be accepted.)
- Product Version
- Order Details
- Raw Source Code Task Links
- Concerned BDE Name
Finally, click on the Save button, and the task will be created successfully. Also, task followers will be the same as in the selected project.
And in this way, the tasks will be created. In case of any doubts, you can simply ask the senior BDE Team members of the ticket team.
