Indian student from Telangana shot dead in US, says family members
Praveen, who studied B Tech in Hyderabad, had gone to the US in 2023 to pursue MS. He visited India in December, 2024 and left for America in January this year.
The family members approached MLAs and other leaders for help.
Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Chicago expressed deep sorrow over the death of the student Praveen Kumar.
The embassy said, "We are in touch with his family and the University to provide all possible support. Our heartfelt condolences and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time."
