I have to write a paper for a history capstone class of mine, exploring any aspect of American Extremism, left or right. This is broad enough that I have decision paralysis, so I thought I'd turn to reddit and ask if any of you know if specific events resulting from extremism in US history that you find interesting? We've studied fascist movements in America mostly from the 20's to 50's, but I don't have to stick with those eras
