WATCH: Jasprit Bumrah loses cool at Karun Nair as Hardik Pandya plays peacemaker, Rohit Sharma giggles

Jasprit Bumrah and Karun Nair got into a heated argument during Mumbai Indians’ 12-run victory over the Indian Premier League table-toppers Delhi Capitals which deposed the Delhi franchise from the top of the standings on Sunday. Chasing a target of 206 set by Mumbai, Delhi almost sealed victory thanks to Nair’s 40-ball 89. Until Sunday, Delhi had been the last unbeaten team in IPL 2025.
Nair had scored 28 runs off nine deliveries off Jasprit Bumrah in the powerplay overs, which included hitting the India pace spearhead for three fours and two sixes.
The wheels had come off Delhi’s chase in the 19th over when DC were 193/7 with nine deliveries remaining, but suffered three run outs in one over to hand the match to Mumbai.
The flashpoint between Nair and Bumrah came when the Delhi batter, while completing a second run, bumped into Bumrah at the non-striker’s end. It looked like an inadvertent collision. But such was the heat of the moment that it escalated with the pacer confronting the batter. Words were exchanged between the duo. It required Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya to play peacemaker while former Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma giggled as he seemed to enjoy the drama.
