A Morning Routine Sets You Up for a Productive Day

One of the oldest sayings going is ‘Energy Flows, Where Attention Goes’ and one that’s more appropriate today than perhaps its ever been, in a world where there is stimulation and noise to occupy your mind literally everywhere it’s never been more important to really look at what you’re giving your time and attention to. After all, what you give your attention to directly dictates your reality and the story of your life. Many miss this key point in their lives.
When you go online in the morning and either read the news headlines or start aimlessly scrolling through social media its very easy to start to feel down, negative, small and out of control because after all the majority of the content that those websites and channels showcase is very negative, it highlights the things designed to make you feel all the various negative emotions, whether that be anger, envy, despair to name just a few.
These are emotions that many people feel right at the very beginning of their days and its immediately sets you up for a negative day. Almost all ‘successful’ people and I use the term ‘successful’ loosely because in my mind if you’re happy and content within your life then you’re successful, we’re taught that success means a big house, fast car and beach clubs in Dubai when many people that have all those things are actually deeply depressed and empty inside because they don’t have what really matters, and that’s the feeling of happiness and contentment. Those two things are priceless and for many life is a journey to find them. I certainly know it’s mine. Anyway, I digress, I raised the point about many successful people for a reason, almost all of them speak about the importance of their morning routine, how a few simple things each morning can set them up for a successful and productive day ahead.
