4 dead, nearly 25 injured in firecracker factory explosion in Punjab

An explosion rocked a firecracker manufacturing and packaging factory near Lambi village in Sri Muktsar Sahib district on Friday, killing four migrant labourers and injuring nearly 25 others.
The blast occurred at a two-storey factory located on Singhawali-Kotli road in Sri Muktsar Sahib’s Lambi area. “The incident occurred in the two-storey factory unit located on Singhawali-Kotli road in Sri Muktsar Sahib, Lambi's Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jaspal Singh, said over the phone,” confirmed the police to news agency PTI.

Following the explosion, the injured were rushed to AIIMS Bathinda hospital for treatment. Police and emergency services quickly arrived at the site to control the situation and assist the victims. “Police administration reached the spot,” officials reported.
