Trump sends National Guard to Los Angeles over immigration raids protests

US President Donald Trump on Saturday ordered the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops to quell "lawlessness" in the Los Angeles area after a second day of unrest sparked by a crackdown on undocumented migrants. California Governor Gavin Newsom said the move was "purposefully inflammatory" and warned that it would "only escalate tensions".
