Los Angeles Police Department Chief Jim McDonnell blew up the Democratic narrative about "peaceful protests," having things in hand, and not needing the National Guard when he said at a press conference on Sunday night that things had gotten out of control and they were being "overwhelmed." 

That practically screams for the National Guard. Of course, it would also help to have the Democratic politicians supporting law enforcement and not encouraging anti-ICE actions.

But they're not. Rather than support the Chief, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) claimed she was "surprised" by what the chief said and tried to argue that she hadn't seen any "violence" by anyone involved in the protests.

"I was surprised at the way the police chief was describing all of this. There's been no violence where anyone who was protesting hit anybody, shot anybody, threatened anybody," she insisted. "Nothing has happened!" 

Has she been asleep the last three days? Did she miss what McDonnell said about rioters firing commercial-grade explosives at his officers? "That could kill ya." Did she not see the attacks on the California Highway Patrol under the overpass? 

Sorry, no. You don't get to play this game. When they're waving foreign flags on top of flaming cars, attacking ICE agents, and spray painting "F*** ICE," they are part of the anti-ICE movement and you don't get to deny them just because you want to.

Are these the folks that Maxine is trying to defend as they spit on our flag and set it on fire?
