PSG vs. Inter Miami live score: Club World Cup result, updates, stats as Parisians run up four first-half goals
Lionel Messi's Inter Miami face their toughest test of their FFA Club World Cup to date when they take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Round of 16 in Atlanta.
Inter were undefeated across three matches against Al Ahly, Porto and Palmeiras, with Messi's brilliant free-kick taking down the Portuguese giants decisively on matchday two.
European champions PSG produced arguably the performance of the tournament when they demolished Atletico Madrid 4-0 but a subsequent defeat to Botafogo showed Luis Enrique's all-conquering side can be vulnerable.
Messi's history as a player under Luis Enrique at Barcelona and those two infamously unhappy seasons at PSG before his move to Miami provided irresistible subplots to Sunday's highly anticipated match.

PSG vs. Inter Miami live updates, highlights, and commentary
66 mins: Dembele lofts a gorgeous ball over the PSG defence. Hakimi has the run on Alba but can't finish.
64 mins: Kvaratskhelia cuts inside to shoot but this one is fairly harmlessly over.
63 mins: Messi has Inter's first shot on target in the 63rd minute.
62 mins: Neves departs to an appreciative ovation and on comes Dembele for his first action of the tournament. More tremendous news for Inter Miami.
60 mins: Messi looks like he might have a chance to turn and shoot on the edge of the box but he has four PSG shirts swarming around him and Zaire-Emery makes the challenge.
58 mins: Ohhhhhh, dreamy stuff from Barcola, who spins the embattled Aviles with a delightful touch from Neves' pass. Ustari turns the shot over. From the corner, Barcola can't get his header on target.
57 mins: PSG dominating still but with understandably less urgency in possession. Doue lines one up from distance and Ustariu gets behind it.
49 mins: Oh, that's a huge chance for Suarez! Messi stuns a sensational volleyed pass over the PSG defence for Suarez, whose poor first touch means he can't test Donnarumma. He should really have tried to finish first time.
Kickoff: 2nd Half
We're back underway and PSG boss Luis Enrique has the luxury of being able to make a couple of changes. Zaire-Emery and Beraldo on for Ruiz and Marquinhos.
Halftime
Hard to imagine how that could have been much worse for Inter. Messi has been a virtual spectator. PSG look ready to lay on plenty more pain in the second half. They won't even tire in the heat as we're playing under a roof in an air-conditioned stadium. All the very best to Javier Mascherano for this team talk.
45+3 mins: GOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!!!! Achraf Hakimi!!!!
Somewhere in the distant past, Jordi Alba has no problem with that run from Barcola. In 2025, the veteran full-back is nowhere near the PSG winger, whose low cross finds Hakimi. The right-back's first shot is deflected agaisnt the cross bar before he slots home the rebound. This is a turkey shoot.
45 mins: Three added minute until Inter Miami can escape to the sancturary of the dressing room.
44 mins: GOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!!!! Tomas Aviles (OG)!!!!
Doue gets into space down the right and whips in a wicked cross that riccochets off Aviles and into his own net. This could be any score.
42 mins: Weigandt clumps into Mendes to get a hard-earned and probably overdue booking.
39 mins: GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL!!!! Joao Neves!!!
We can't say it hasn't been coming. Barcola retrieves the ball high up, slots a pass through to Ruiz, who duly squares for Neves to tap in his second. Training ground stuff and, you'd think, game over.
34 mins: Nuno Mendes tears into the Inter box to receive a crossfield ball, rounds Ustari and sees Falcon clear off the line. The offside flag then goes up. Even so, it's implausible this is still only 1-0. The gulf in quality is huge.
31 mins: Ruiz crashes a shot just over from the edge of the box after a delicious dummy from Doue. At the other end, Suarez crashes into Marquinhos, maybe just to feel something.
28 mins: Kvaratskhelia takes Weigandt to the cleaners again, could have gone down when he was clipped. He wins a corner that Miami make a better fist of defending.
26 mins: Neves appears to be unmarked again but Vitinha works it short and Mendes's rasping drive is blocked.
25 mins: A chance for Inter to attack, with Messi the orchestrator. Allende llosk to play into the box but it's blocked for a throw-in. From there, the ball is turned over, PSG dart forward and Kvaratskhelia wins a free-kick in a similar position to where they scored the first goal.
23 mins: Ohhhhhh, Kvaratskhelia so close to 2-0! The Georgian superstar cuts inside and wraps his right foot around a trademark effort that skims just wide of Ustari's left post. I'm not sure he was getting there.
21 mins: Beautiful chip over the top of the Inter defence from Ruiz ends with Hakimi having a shit blocked behind. Busquets half-clears after Doue works the short corner and then the offside flag goes up.
20 mins: Straight away Aviles thunders into a tackle and is booked. That means he will miss the quarterfinal if Inter get there. Admittedly, that doesn't seem like a matter of huge concern right now.
19 mins: Further woes for the Inter Miami defence as Allen is forced off through injury. Aviles into the fray.
15 mins: Ruiz has the ball in the net but he was offside when he converted Barcola's nod back across goal. Inter all at sea from that set-piece. This is a total mismatch right now.
9 mins: Inter remain under siege. They don't seem to know where to look, who to pick up from this fluid PSG front three, while Ruiz, Vitinha and the goalscorer Neves are into their irresistable rhythm.
6 mins: GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL!!!! Joao Neves!!!
Far too easy for PSG. Vitinha floats a free-kick in from the left and Neves ghosts in unmarked at the back post to bury a diving header.
4 mins: Fabulous save from Ustari! Inter's goalkeeper can expect to be busy and he's quickly into his work. Kvaratskhelia glides through challenges into the box and cuts the ball back to Barcola. Ustari is tumbling in the wrong direction but saves with his boot.
Kickoff: 1st Half
PSG get us underway with their now-familiar kickoff of smashing the ball deep into opposition territory. However, Neves has misjudged this one and it sails away for a goal kick rather than a throw-in.
5 mins before kickoff: The teams are going through this competition's mildly irritating one-by-one introductions. We'll be underway soon.
30 mins before kickoff: French sports daily L'Equipe astonishingly took aim at Inter Miami's star man with its front page on the eve of this match. "Messi...not all is forgiven" it read. PSG's post-galacticos win over Inter Milan in the Champions League final perhaps means there is more license to take a few swings at Messi's forgettable period in the French capital. But... you wouldn't want to make him angry, would you?
