Community Survey: August 2025
[unable to retrieve full-text content]
TL;DR: please fill out our community survey, the wiki has been updated but reddit is migrating all wikis to a new experience so the update won’t be viewable for a little bit, become a mod!
It's time for another community survey!
Last week we asked the community what we should ask in our survey and didn’t receive any feedback. Therefore, this survey is questions that we have as mods about posts/comments and frequently reported content that doesn’t necessarily break the rules. Find the survey here. (Email and google account info are not shared with us. It's anonymous.) If you are unable to fill out the form but would still like to participate, please message us your responses and we will factor that into the stats. The survey will close on August 31st.
The wiki is partially updated with more explanation regarding the rules, how we moderate, related subreddits, and other things like that. If there’s something you’d like to see in the wiki, please reach out! Reddit is migrating to a new wiki experience. Hopefully it won’t take long for ours to migrate.
And we are looking for another mod or two! One of our mods is in their final semester of grad school and we need another pair of eyes to help out with the modqueue, or a few other things if you are so inclined. If you are interested, fill out this form please. Or message us with the answers to the following questions:
- Do you moderate another subreddit(s) or other internet forums? If so, which ones? (experience isn't required)
- How much time are you able to moderate this sub a day?
- What UTC location/timezone would you active? [Here's a UTC map you can use.](https://www.timeanddate.com/time/map/)
- How do you browse reddit? Phone? Desktop? If by phone, what mobile app do you use?
- Are you familiar with AutoMod?
- What is your crafting experience?
- Do you sell your crafts? If so, where and what is your shop/social name?
- Are you willing to use the reddit chat feature in order to communicate with other mods?
- Why do you want to be a moderator?
Unfortunately, if you have your profile set to “hide all” or “customized” under your “Content and Activity” section, we won’t be able to properly vet you for the position, and therefore ask you not to fill out the form to be a mod. We want to see what type of redditor you are, how you interact with others, etc. before adding you to the mod team. If your profile is “privated”, we cannot do that. Thanks for your understanding.
