I have camped on the beach at Mustang Island State Park many times. And let me tell you, the sand gets EVERYWHERE. Sleeping bag. Eyes. Tent. Water bottle. Butt crack. You name it, it's got sand in it - especially because it can be very windy there.

That said, it's a beautiful place to camp. And it's very nice to build a fire on the beach there.
