The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) honored Angel moms for Mother’s Day, recognizing the indescribable pain of losing a child.
“This Mother’s Day, we especially honor Angel Moms,” the department posted to X on Sunday.
“Words cannot describe the pain of losing a child. Knowing their child’s deaths were entirely preventable only adds to the pain these brave women face every day,” it continued.
The post included a heart-wrenching montage video of several Angel mothers, those who have lost a child due to a crime committed by an illegal alien, relating their experiences and emotions.
“Birthdays, holidays, Mother’s days have never been the same. Not a celebration for me anymore. You see, I buried my son a week before Mother’s Day. I will never heal from this loss,” one woman said.
Other women also spoke on their loss:
“My baby should be here. She has no reason not to be.”
“I don’t want any other parent to live the nightmare that I am living.”
“We’re just asking to get rid of the criminals who hurt our family.”
Many of the mothers referred to President Donald Trump, thanking him for his actions:
“The Trump administration has given us hope.”
“With President Trump, when I first met him personally, he told me, ‘Your son did not die in vain,'” one Angel mother said. “And in my life, I never imagined that the world leader, the toughest guy, would ever know Dominic’s name and story. And so I will continue this activism, whatever you call it, talking about him, who wants to hear about it or who doesn’t, until I get to hug him again.”
One woman recited the slogan for the Trump administration, “Promises made, promises kept.”
A key focus of the current administration has been to eliminate illegal immigration and to deport illegal aliens. Immigration enforcement officers have detained and arrested illegal immigrants across the country, including those accused of violent crimes such as rape and murder.
On Friday, President Donald Trump hosted a Mother’s Day Luncheon at the White House Rose Garden for Angel moms and Golden mothers, those who have lost a child serving in the armed forces in the line of duty.
“You notice the roses…we added a lot of roses, I will tell you…and you deserve them,” the president said.
The White House and Trump administration also wished a happy Mother’s Day to mothers across the nation, recognizing their love and sacrifice.
“Today, we celebrate the mothers whose unwavering love, sacrifice, & strength help mold the heart & soul of our nation,” the White House posted to X on Sunday.
“To the millions of moms across America–& to First Lady Melania Trump & Second Lady Usha Vance–thank you. Happy Mother’s Day from the White House.”
